Festivals – A Stage for Growth, Not Just Glory

At PH Academy of Dance, we believe that every child who wants to perform deserves the opportunity to step on stage and shine.

That’s why our festival team is open to all dancers, without auditions or selection criteria.

If a student has the passion and commitment to take part, we welcome them with open arms.

Why We Compete

Our goal isn’t just to win, it’s to build stagecraft, performance confidence, and resilience in a supportive, team-spirited environment.

Competitions provide an exciting chance to grow through live performance, explore different styles, and experience the buzz of the stage in a new way.

While medals and trophies are a wonderful bonus, our real focus is on:

  • Developing performance skills

  • Building emotional resilience and grace under pressure Celebrating effort, teamwork, and progress

  • Gaining confidence through experience

  • Cheering on every dancer, no matter the outcome

Our festival team is one of support, encouragement, and celebration. You’ll find teammates applauding every solo, duet, trio, and group routine, because we believe that

courage, commitment, and creativity deserve recognition in every form.

Our Festival Season

Each year, we enter approximately 7–8 festivals across Essex and Hertfordshire, offering a range of opportunities in Solos, Duets, Trios & Group dances.

We also participate in four All England Dance affiliate festivals, with the potential for dancers to qualify for regional and national finals, a fantastic experience for those wanting to take things to the next level.

Whether your child is new to the festival scene or looking to expand their performance journey, there’s a place for them here.
