Early Years, Ages 2.5 - 5 years
P.H.A.D Kidz
For our youngest dancers aged 2.5 to 5 years, PHAD Kidz is a unique joyful Early Years Programme created to spark a love for movement and nurture creativity in a caring, supportive and a highly imaginative space.
Why is dance beneficial?
PHAD Kidz is a carefully crafted Early Years dance programme for children aged 2.5 to 5 years, designed to enrich their everyday development through the joy of music, movement, and imagination.

The first five years of a child’s life are crucial in shaping who they become and dance plays a powerful role in supporting that journey. Our programme blends fun, freedom, and structure to help children grow not only physically, but emotionally and socially too.

Dance in the early years can support:
-
Balance and poise
-
Coordination and body awareness
-
Muscle strength and motor skill development
-
Focus and concentration
-
Confidence and self-expression
-
Language and listening skills
-
Social interaction and turn-taking

In every session, we encourage little dancers to explore their imaginations and awaken their senses through carefully chosen music, storytelling themes, playful props, and sensory experiences.
Each class is full of creativity, discovery, and fun building the foundations for a lifelong love of movement.
Whether it’s twirling like leaves, tiptoeing like animals, or floating like bubbles, PHAD Kidz invites your child to express themselves, grow with confidence, and feel completely at home in the magic of dance.

What do we offer?
Each PHAD Kidz lesson runs for 70 minutes and gives your child the chance to explore three different dance styles
-
Tap
-
Modern
-
Ballet
with 20 minutes dedicated to each style.
The session also includes 10 minutes of relaxed social time, helping children build friendships and confidence in a supportive environment.

It’s the perfect way for young dancers to discover what they love most, while developing musicality, coordination, and a lifelong love for movement.
Each dance style lays the foundation for essential movement skills such as rhythm, musicality, spatial awareness, coordination, and proprioception (body awareness).
These genres are not only fun and engaging at this stage, but also form the building blocks for further training within our main Dance Academy, and can lead to vocational pathways for those who wish to continue their journey in dance.
To make learning even more engaging, each week follows a different theme such as:
✨ A Teddy Bears’ Picnic
🌳 A Day at the Park
🚀 An Adventure into Outer Space
…and so much more!

These imaginative themes help children connect movement with storytelling, allowing them to fully engage their creativity, memory, and emotional expression. Using a wide variety of props and carefully selected music, we create an immersive experience that makes each lesson a magical adventure in learning and self-discovery.
Meet Charlie!
Meet Charlie – our cheeky class mascot who loves to join in on all the fun!

Each week, Charlie helps guide our little dancers through exciting adventures as we explore new themes, letters, colours, and numbers, all designed to expand vocabulary, spark curiosity, and support early learning through movement and play.
Charlie is always watching and cheering the children on, and each week they choose one dancer who has shown wonderful progress, no matter how big or small. That child will receive Charlie’s “Pawfect
Progress” sticker as a special celebration of their effort and growth!

With Charlie by their side, learning feels like play—and every child is encouraged to shine in their own way.

Child Progression
At PHAD Kidz, we understand that every child’s progression is as unique as their personality, and our mission is to support their learning journey at their own pace.

There is no pressure to meet milestones within a set timeframe. Instead, we focus on celebrating each individual achievement, no matter how big or small. At the end of each term, every child will receive a special certificate to recognise their hard work, growth, and enthusiasm.
As they continue to develop, we’ll gently assess their readiness. When the time is right, they’ll be awarded a PHAD Kidz Graduation Certificate along with an invitation to join the main P.H.A.D Academy, where they can explore a wider range of dance styles, take part in exams (if they wish), and experience exciting new performance opportunities.
